Places, Customer Comments, and Links
Hi! I'm glad you dropped by! Please come in and visit a spell. You won't find edibles, but you will find my original watercolor artwork painted on 3 X 4 white note cards. They are left blank inside and are perfect for letting you add that personal, thoughtful touch to greetings, birthday wishes, invitations, thank you notes, acknowledgements, and expressions of sympathy. The note cards also make delightful gifts for family, friends, teachers, bride's maids...well, just about anybody you can think of. Each card is individually hand painted and signed by me. My artwork is from my impressions and my imagination, therefore, any resemblance to anything on the earth is entirely coincidental.
The note cards are of quality stock and are sold with matching envelopes. The designs on these pages are a general guideline. Because each card is painted individually, they will not be an exact match to what you see here, but are pretty darn close. Many designs also have more than one color available, but I'll remind you of that on the ordering page.
I'll be happy to gift wrap, personalize, and customize your order. That info too, is on the ordering page.
Uh,Oh! Don't know what colors or designs to order as a gift? Well,Gift Certificates are now available! See the ordering page for information.
If you would like to be on my mailing list to get advance notice of retiring cards and new releases, email me at faith@chocolateleaf.com
ABOUT ME
Can't remember when I did not like to draw and paint, so it's no wonder that when "life" decided to slap me upside the head, I turned to painting to calm my spirit. I started creating note cards to send to friends and family on various fun (and somber too) occasions. Well, family and friends gave me a nudge to offer them to you. (Actually friends gave me a nudge; daughters gave me a shove.)
I'm the mom of two wonderful, bright, intelligent (these are the same ones that gave me a shove) daughters and am mom-in-law to my favorite son-in-law. I make my home here in New England, just a "tidge" north of Boston, in the midst of some wonderful friends and inspiring scenery.

Care and Framing
Although artist mediums have improved through the years, it is still wise to keep the paintings out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
My paintings have not been sprayed with a protective coating or varnish. Doing so can change colors and tones, and discolors the paper.
And of course, without a protective coating, you cannot bathe with them. Keep your watercolor artwork away from water and dampness as much as possible.
Smudges and fingerprints from your handling can be erased carefully with a gum eraser (art eraser).
If you want to frame the artwork under glass, make sure the glass does not lie directly on the painting. To accomplish that, use a mat and backing that is acid free. (Acid free framing materials will not discolor the painting as other materials might.)
Acknowledgements
My daughters and son-in-law have been so very supportive and exuberant in their confidence of this venture. I am grateful. Other family members and friends have been equally excited and supportive. Thank you.
Special thanks and hugs to: Gil on the West Coast for the name "CHOCOLATE LEAF" and for initiating and managing the survey; Heartsong, originally on the East Coast, for the design of the CHOCOLATE LEAF "under construction" web page, invaluable help with pictures, and getting me up and running on the Web; Dave for encouragement and internet researching; Heidi, for sharing her limitless knowledge and methods; Stephen, for helping to breakdown technical barriers; my unmet new friends on the West Coast who suffered through the survey and gave me so much valuable information.
